New Textures!

I just uploaded 46 new textures to the texture archive on my web site. That brings the total texture count to 399! Go grab them here.

Most of them were taken during our family's vacation to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. That place is the coolest spot on earth for good brick textures. I also got a lot of good wood textures there. I especially like wood textures with the iron nails in them where the iron has created weather stains down the wood, like this:

wood 43

Also the brick textures with the moss growing on them are cool:

bricks 27

If you're looking for something specific in the texture archive and don't find it, let me know by leaving a comment here. I'll see what I can do for you.

I also really appreciate the kind emails that people have been sending. If you do use these textures, let me know by posting a comment here or sending me an email here.

Thanks for sharing such a great texture collection, especially the cobblestone and vine texture were of good use to me.

Andrew,
I've had some other people tell me that they have the same problem - that the images don't show up - but I have no idea why it's happening. Most people can see them just fine. I've tested the site at home and at work under Win2k, WinXp, and Mac OS X. I've tested it with Firefox, Netscape, Safari, and IE - but I haven't been able to reproduce the problem. I know it's happening, though because you're about the fifth person that has told me about it. Have you tried using another computer to view them?

Greetings from down under Ben,
Many thanks for your efforts in posting all these textures.. I see a few other people have made good use of them too. I make childrens birthday cakes as a hobby adn am always on the look out for interesting baseboard, edging and banner background material. Today is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle day for a 6 year old.. Your "Bricks with moss" is gonna add that finishing touch! Excellent collection my son! Keep up the good work. Wanna see the finished item? (among many others)goto: http://groups.google.com/group/cake-craft (I'll be posting the TMNT cake on sun 7th Sept - obviously I'm still making it today!)
Lotsaluv,
Lyn
